Outpatient Treatment

Our Outpatient Treatment (OT) is designed to assist Adults, Children and Adolescents and Families with beginning their substance abuse and mental health recovery and learning skills for recovery maintenance. The program offers structured individual and group addiction activities and services.  The Outpatient Treatment will provide two or more of the following services:

  • Individual counseling and support

  • Group counseling and support

  • Family counseling, training and support

  • Life skills

  • Treatment support activities that have been adapted or specifically designed for persons with co-occurring disorders of mental illness and substance use or dependence.

 

Outpatient Treatment services are provided directly to eligible persons with substance abuse diagnosis, co-occurring disorders of substance use or dependence mental illness and without limitation or discrimination based on race, color, age, religion, gender, disability, sexual orientation, national origin, prior treatment or criminal record. Every effort will be made to make accommodations for those persons served with special needs. Internal accommodations and or referrals to an external agency are mechanisms to address persons with special needs. In addition to the above, services will be sensitive and relevant to the diversity of the persons served. Development of cultural competency training is a priority.

Outpatient Treatment is a planned program, which consist of a clinical evaluation that results in a diagnostic impression with recommendations for treatment. Mental health assessments (intakes) involve a face-to-face or videoconference clinical interview with a qualified mental health professional (independent license or those supervised by a clinician with an independent license). All intake assessments for children include an interview with parents or guardians. This service is available to all population groups. Priority is given to adults with chronic or severe mental illness and children at risk for out-of-home placement. The program offers education on the following in group, individual or other settings:

 

  • Wellness

  • Recovery

  • Resilience
